Code of Conduct

Parent-Supporter:
  • Be a positive role model through their own actions to make sure their child has the best experience possible.
  • Be a "team" fan, not a "my kid" fan.
  • Show respect for all players, coaches, spectators, and support groups.
  • Be respectful of all officials decisions.
  • Don't "coach" any player from the fence, that is what practice is for. "Let them play."
  • Praise all players in their attempt to improve themselves as athletes, as students, and as people
  • Gain an understanding and appreciation for the rules of the contest.
  • Recognize and show appreciation for an outstanding play be either team.
  • Help your child learn that success is experienced in the development of their skills, not by winning alone.
  • Take time to talk with coaches, in an appropriate manner, including proper time and place, if there is a concern.  Do not approach a coach or official immediately before, during, or after a game.
  • Please reinforce our alcohol, tobacco, and other drug-free policies by refraining from the use of any such substances before and during any youth practices or contests.
  • Remember that it is a privilege to observe a contest.

Coach:

  • Lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship.
  • Respect the integrity and judgement of contest officials.
  • Recognize the individual worth and self-image of each player.
  • Encourage and assist players in setting personal goals for athletics and academics.
  • Strive to develop leadership, initiative, character, and good judgement in all players.
  • Reinforce and promote positive lifestyle choices, personal fitness, and good nutrition.
  • Review and practice the prevention and care of athletic injuries.
  • Provide a safe and challenging practice and playing environment.
  • Demonstrate and encourage respect for all activity programs in the community.
  • Be modest in victory and gracious in defeat.
  • Strive to always improve as a coach and role model.
  • Communicate well the program goals and objectives to players, parents,, and community.
  • Create and enforce a set of training rules that reflect the positive values of abstaining from the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
